Windows 20th Anniversary Edition?
What the hell is the point of this? Engadget reports that Microsoft is releasing in Japan only a 20th anniversary edition of Windows XP, complete with fake CDs, random autographs and random prizes. Who is going to pay $230 for an upgrade and “replica” CDs? Its limited to 9,999 copies, and unless I’ve severely overestimated the Japanese people, I would expect a lot of those copies to stay on store shelves.
Well, at least Ballmer seems happy.

Hmm. Engadget has the story.
