Microsoft Unveils New Windows Vista Standard Interface

Thankfully, Microsoft isn’t leaving the current Vista Standard interface alone. Right now, non-Aero users get to choose between the very dated Windows 2000 look and the Vista Standard look, and Vista Standard stands about halfway between Mac OS X and a lump of coal.

The new Vista Standard adds some much-needed polish. Compare:

It isn’t perfect, but it is a lot better than that crap gray style. I still wish the buttons weren’t so tiny. Read more at the Vista team blog.
