Microsoft Announces New Train Simulator

Microsoft has announced an all-new version of Microsoft Train Simulator, a program that, well, simulates rail transport operations. This is not the first MS Train Sim, but does seem to represent an attempt by Microsoft to make up for many of the mistakes it made with the original in 2001. Not much has been revealed about the new Train Sim, save that it uses the Flight Simulator X tech, but you can expect a lot of lessons have been learned from the mistakes of Train Sim (lack of content and inaccurate content, which was corrected by the enthusiast community) and Train Sim 2 (too small an upgrade, cancelled before ever released).

I’m looking forward to it.
