Surface In Action

Some lucky people are finally getting to try out Microsoft’s Surface computer in person, showing some of what it can actually do, not just some sort of well-prepared demo.

Bink has this video from the SIGGRAPH expo hall, showing multiple people playing with it and a Microsoft rep showing off the wifi camera connection:

This video is from Business 2.0, showing picture postcards, water ripples, as a store kiosk with product comparisons:

Andfinally, this video from Popular Mechanics, more of a well-produced profile:

The last two videos are via Emergent Creativity.

  1. We need to start getting used to watching people molest tables like that…like in the first video’s first couple of seconds…lol. Exciting to see that at one point I’m going to walk into a store and do something like that :)

  2. MS Surface is interesting, but I still can’t see it run completely as an OS. I mean, how do people enter text onto these machines? Or use the web, or have software products onto there?

Until I can see something like a real OS, rather than a play OS, then Surface really might mean something. It doesn’t even match the functionality of the iPhone.
