Live Search Ad Campaign Starts

Todd Bishop notes that Microsoft has started buying ads for Windows Live in major newspapers around the U.S.. It starts off with surprising frankness and humility for Microsoft:

Before we begin, let us state the obvious. We’re late to the game. We admit it. But instead of shrugging our shoulders and becoming a footnote in search history, we’ve decided to write a few new chapters. Because, quite frankly, it’s just the beginning.

John Battelle notes that it quotes his book to support the fact that Windows Live has a pretty good shot.
