Windows Vista Business Launches

Yesterday, Microsoft did what seemed like would never happen: They launched Windows Vista. Now, granted, it was only the Business version, and it isn’t available in stores (only through volume licensing and other means), but Windows Vista, a version of it, is available for companies to purchase and rollout. They also released Microsoft Office Professional 2007. Wow.

Microsoft kicked off the launch with Steve Ballmer at the NASDAQ. Products released are:

  • Windows Vista Business
  • Windows Vista Enterprise
  • Office Professional 2007
  • Office Enterprise 2007
  • Office Project Professional 2007
  • Office Visio Professional 2007
  • Office InfoPath 2007
  • Office OneNote 2007
  • Exchange Server 2007
  • Office SharePoint Server 2007
  • Office Project Server 2007
  • Forefront Security for Exchange Server
  • Forefront Security for SharePoint
  • Windows Rights Management Services
  • Exchange Enterprise CAL
  • SharePoint Enterprise CAL
  • Office Project Portfolio Server 2007
  • Office Forms Server 2007
  • Office SharePoint Designer 2007
  • Office Sharepoint Server for Search 2007
  • Office Groove Server 2007
  • Office Groove 2007
  • Exchange Hosted Services

According to my trusty Vista countdown Gadget, time remaining to the main Vista launch is 59 days, 10 hours, 19 minutes and 15 seconds.
