Windows Live Spaces added some convenient ways to embed video in your blog, including allowing video embeds in blog entries, place videos in their own modules, and real-time updates and alerts on when your friends update their space, blog, photos, lists and comments. Holy moley, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, the two richest men in the world, are now Hooters VIP card-holders. The chain, which features female waitresses in tank tops and cheesy fake short shorts, bestowed the honor on the two mega-billionaires, who can now eat in any Hooters restaurants for free. Drinks still cost, but maybe they can take another corporate bigwig, Michael Scott, out to dinner at one of his favorite restaurants.

Matt Pietrek is testing out Windows Home Server in his house, giving a nice glimpse into what it’s really like to have one of those. I can’t wait till we start seeing Home Server in stores. Read his blog if you’re as impatient as I am.

Someone has created a program for Windows Mobile phones called DialPad that helps you out when you have to enter letters using the numbers on your keypad, and the phone does not have the letters printed on the number keys. Seems like a pretty good solution to an annoying problem.

  2. Microsoft is already sunk? Oh no! I hope they have some money saved up for a rainy day!

Oh, should $7 billion be enough? God, I hope so.

Seriously, hate the products, but don’t deny the past, present and guaranteed future financial and popular success of Microsoft software. Perhaps you hate it, or believe something else is superior, but your statement is the equivelant of saying that the Chicago Bears suck because they lost the Super Bowl. The don’t suck, they are a great team, they just weren’t good enough to win on this day.

Oh, and the top selling computers on Amazon are Apple PCs because Windows PCs come in thousands of configurations, while Apple computers come in a few per product model. Don’t try to use the Amazon list to convince yourself that Apple is outselling Windows.
