Microsoft Moving Into Disneyland

Microsoft has finally completed the deal to take over a floor of the Innoventions pavilion in Disneyland, meaning Microsoft will be able to showcase the Home of the Future to park visitors. Microsoft has been building and showing off many futuristic concepts (unfortunately, sometimes at CES), and the Disneyland deal will give them a place to feature it to the public.

According to MiceAge, a Disney blog, Innoventions has been suffering from poor attendance, dropping to 2,500 visitors on a busy day (roughly what Pirates pulls in an hour). Microsoft will have to show off some pretty cool stuff to turn it around. Microsoft would do well to show off the Surface computer, and maybe some of the stuff from The Island, like the futuristic Xbox. Microsoft reportedly spent $10 million for the space.

  1. Thank you so much for the update on this; I’ve been waiting to hear something about it for quite some time now. Although, I wonder how Apple feels about this? The new Nemo ride is supposed to be practically in front of this.
