Office 2007 May Be Bigger Seller Than Vista

Mary Jo Foley writes that Office 2007 may be outselling Windows Vista, with a rumored 70 million copies of Office having been sold, compared to the officially reported 60 million of Vista. Also, reports are the 80% of Vista copies come with new computers (guess I added two copies to the 20% side), while Office is flying off the shelves at retail.

Also, the NPD has a look at Office and Vista sales, including that a lot of people are downloading the trial version of Office from Microsoft, then buying a product key direct from Microsoft. This makes Microsoft one of the biggest retailer of its own product.
