MSN/Windows Live Messenger For The Mac 6 & 7 On The Way
Microsoft has confirmed that a new version of its Messenger instant messaging software will ship with and when Mac Office 2008 hits stores. While we don’t know anything about features, or even if it’ll be named Windows Live Messenger or MSN Messenger (presumably the new name, though), at least Mac fans are getting a new version. Not only that, but work is already going on for Messenger 7, which will be the first Mac version with audio/video capabilities.

is there any word about when that might be happening?

I don’t understand why the pc and mac version of Windows Live Messenger have to be so different. If these technical wizards are such experts why cant they keep the two platforms on the same level at the same time??? Are they such experts - NOPE DON’T THINKS SO!!!

Microsoft will only bring out older versions of MSN for Macintosh because they don’t want to give Macintosh an advantage.
It may seem silly, but people may not buy macintosh computers because the microsoft programs they have grown accustomed to aren’t as advanced on the macintosh platform.

Nope, some other site even citied that Office 2008 still uses Messenger 6.03 and Windows Live Messenger 7 (Presumedly) released on Late 2008. What is this!? All computer makers are always delaying their ship of arrival. Procrastinators!
