Live Photo Gallery Updating Through Microsoft Update
If you like Windows Live Photo Gallery, Microsoft’s excellent free photo management app, then you’ll like that it now updates through Microsoft Update. You’ll need to upgrade Windows Update to Microsoft Update, but you’ll get the latest updates and features automatically as they are released.

What’s the difference?
I thought they were exactly the same thing. Don’t the both come through the system?

Windows Update comes with Windows, and only updates components of Windows itself. You can upgrade it to Microsoft Update, at which point it will update Microsoft Office and some other Microsoft products (like, now, Photo Gallery), but it’s completely your choice to opt-in. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
