Even ESPN Cares About Microsoft-Yahoo
Sorry about the flood of posts about the Microsoft offer to buy Yahoo, but there’s just so many things to say about it.
I just found this funny:
Yes, ESPN fans will recognize that as the news ticker at the bottom of the screen on the sports channel. What does Microsoft Yahoo have to do with sports? Nothing! It’s just such big news, everybody’s talking about it.

How is MS going to monetize this Yahoo content that is so beloved by all sports fans? You would think some companies don’t mind sponsoring it.

Actually, Yahoo! has something kind of in common with ESPN.
ESPN is a Disney subsidiary and Go.com (a web portal from Disney Internet Group) utilizes Yahoo! Search and it’s content.
There’s always weird ties everywhere on the internet. Though there’s no real direct ties between Yahoo! and ESPN as far as I can tell. Y! Sports doesn’t even offer real ESPN content.
