More Xbox Live Launch Details

Jason Schramm has more details on the Xbox 360 launch.

First off, Microsoft has announced how the Xbox Live Marketplace will work. Gamers will be able to use Microsoft Points to buy content on Xbox Live. $19.99 will get you 1600 Points. Items to buy will include game trailers and demos (which you “buy” for free), gamer pictures (20 points), sports team logo gamer pictures (60 points), gamer picture bundles (40-80 points), themes (150 points), a Kameo Winter warrior pack (200 points), and a collection of all NFL logo gamer pictures (500 points).

Additionally, the launch Xbox Live Arcade games have been announced:

• Hexic® HD (full version included free with Xbox 360 System) – Microsoft Game Studios

• Mutant Storm Reloaded (800 points) – PomPom Games
• Outpost Kaloki (800 points) – Wahoo Studios
• Robotron 2084 (400 points) – Midway Games, Inc.

All Arcade games will have free playable trial versions.

Additionally, Xbox VP J. Allard will be on Xbox Live on Tuesday, challenging all comers. Winners will get something cool.

He’ll be taking on Xbox Live® members on Tuesday, November 22—that’s right, launch day. So when you get your Xbox 360 console home, jump on Xbox Live and challenge the man to two of our incredible launch titles: Project Gotham Racing® 3 and Perfect Dark Zero™.

He’ll be playing on Xbox Live from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Eastern (2:00-4:00 P.M. Pacific). Take him on in PGR 3 the first hour, and PDZ the second hour. Look for the gamertag HiroProtagonist. Here’s the challenge: You won’t be able to find him by sending a friend request. The only way you’ll get into this Game with Fame against him is to match into games.
